can you teach beardies tricks or to walk on a lead or something if so how?

Hiya, I wouldn't say you could teach them 'tricks' but you can apparantly teach them to climb onto your hand by using a simple reward system. Have a look for positive reinforcement on the internet to get the idea of whats involved. Its not complicated but it may take a while for the beardie to learn what you want. Basically you lure them towards you and everytime they advance towards you you treat them (treat has to be something that they really really enjoy). Then keep doing it until they are on your hand. Eventually they will learn that climbing on your hand leads to a treat and do it on their own.
Like I say it will take a while as they aren't that bright! Also be careful with treats, wax worms work for most beardies but are really high in fat.

As for the lead, it just takes a lot of patience and them getting used to it!
