hi, As many people know there are many reptiles that are not looked after properly weather that be because of not researching about the reptile you are about to buy or just plain old ignorance. Well here is my story for you i was looking to buy a royal python (my wife gave in as she is scared of snakes but fed up with me going on about one it cost me a diamond ring!!!) anyway my wife's friend of a friend had one for sale and no one was intreasted in it so i thought i would go and see it. oh my god the house it lived in had 3 dogs that did'nt stop barking and the smoke from the fags made me feel ill as for the tank it had NO heat in it the man said it had not eaten for weeks and when i asked how old it was he said he got it in september i then asked when it had its last shed he said the python had not shed since he owned it!!! WHAT. i got it out and it was thin. i just had to buy it two give it a chance.so i put it in a tank waked up the temp and gave it a big water bowl left it to settle in.that was saturday. sunday evening thought i would try the little fella on a mouse fluff he striked straight away ye result so i will contue to take care of him feel good with myselph hope i am not to late to help the little fella have a better and longer life. been on the net care sheets ect any advice always welcome. and while i am on here a big thank-you to all at reef reptiles for all of your past advice and under standing support. stuart.

Yes it is heart breaking to come across an animal that has been looked after badly for what ever reason  Glad to hear your snake is feeding though. Keep us posted with how it gets on. It would be nice to see a photo if you get chance.
